I'm a self-taught artist living in Québec for 30 years. I produce portraits in which woman has a predominant place and becomes a vehicle through which I communicate different emotions. Each of my painting is a new beginning, a new way( voice) to express what I feel. Made in acrylic and mixed medias, they show delicacy, strength, sensuality or fragility as a value in itself. My work carry my questioning, my positioning on the place and the respect of women and all vulnerable living beings. My strong and combative women reveal their great inner emotional conflict. My portraits are engine of dialogue allowing us to react, to capture the similarities that resonate within us or to invent our own story in front of a stolen moment, a fleeting moment taken from life. Using B&W for my portraits, my visual language is limited to light and shadow, inviting the viewer to enter my works to vibrate to the rhythm of the color of his own emotions.
