Artist Statement

Joye DeGoede (pronounced Joy Dee-Good) is the artist behind the original JoyEful Party Animals®. Internationally recognized and collected artist Joye’s works range from traditional realism to surrealism. Her artist’s statement is “Capturing the JoyEful Party Animals® Spirit”©

Joye is best known for the JoyEful Party Animals, but her work encompasses many more sides. She describes it as “Story telling from my life experiences as I travel through the stages of life living in the Wild West and travels. Every painting tells a story from my view of life experience. I do not paint what I do not know or experience. If I do not know it, I throw myself into research. Everyday is a learning opportunity to sharpen my skills and experiencing our world. Each day is a gift.”

Her art education started at age10 with private art lessons and continues to this day. She holds BS Fine Art with an emphasis in Medical Illustration, Arizona state teaching certificate endorsements in art and science.
Joye is a juried member of many art associations. Her works have received awards, part of public permanent collections and exhibited in museums, Arts in the Embassies and galleries in the US and abroad. One of her paintings images is on the moon. Included in a flight to the moon in 2026 and will remain on the moon in perpetuity. “Puppy Love” was a Finalist in the ARC 17th International Salon. One could argue this elevates her as a Universal and International collected artist!
